Numiko — Terms of Use
Numiko is free to learn with, every day, for every child. Every skill, every hint and every worked solution is free. VIP, paid for by a parent, adds more sessions a day and free play with the maths tools; it never unlocks knowledge.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By installing or using Numiko you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Numiko is published by BrotherAI ("we", "us"). These terms come in addition to the terms of the store you installed from.
2. Who sets it up
Numiko is made for children aged 4 to 8. It must be installed and set up by a parent or another adult who cares for the child, who accepts these terms on the child's behalf and decides on any purchase and on the anonymous statistics. Purchases, settings and links sit behind a parental gate.
3. What Numiko is
Numiko gives a child short daily sessions of maths questions: numbers, shapes and space. It picks questions that suit the child's level, gives a hint after a wrong answer, then a worked solution and an easier question. The skills follow the Vietnamese preschool and grade 1-3 programmes and the US Common Core standards for kindergarten to grade 2.
It is practice, not a replacement for school, a teacher or a parent, and we do not promise any particular result. If a question looks wrong to you, write to us, and we will fix it.
4. What is free
Every child gets one full session every day, for free and for good, with every skill, every hint and every worked solution. A child who never has VIP can still reach every skill. Brothers and sisters each get their own profile at no cost.
5. Numiko VIP
VIP is optional. It adds more sessions each day, within the daily play time you set, and free play with the maths tools. It can be bought by an adult in the parent area as:
- a monthly subscription;
- a yearly subscription, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers;
- a one-time purchase that keeps VIP for good.
Prices are shown in the app, in your currency, as the store gives them. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings at least 24 hours before the period ends; cancelling keeps VIP until the end of the period already paid for. If you do not cancel during the free trial, the yearly subscription starts when the trial ends. Payment, renewal and refunds are handled by the store under its own rules. On Apple devices VIP can be shared with your Family Sharing group.
If VIP ends, the child keeps all their progress and their stickers, and the free daily session stays as it was.
6. Price changes
If we change the price of a subscription, the store will tell you and, where its rules require, ask for your agreement before any renewal at the new price.
7. Your child's data
A child's progress is stored on your device only, as the Privacy Policy explains. We cannot recover it: if the app is deleted or the device is lost, whatever your own device backup did not keep is gone.
8. Acceptable use
Do not try to reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the app beyond what your local law expressly allows, and do not try to get VIP without paying for it. The app and its content (questions, pictures, sounds and text) belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. You may use them for your family's own learning, not copy or sell them.
9. Availability and changes
We may change, add or remove questions and features in future versions, and we may stop publishing Numiko. If we stop, we will take no further subscription payment, and the version on your device keeps working as it is.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Numiko is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We work to keep every question correct, but we do not promise that the app is free of errors.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from the use of Numiko. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for VIP in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or any right you have under the mandatory consumer law of your country.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. A material change will appear on this page with a new "Last updated" date before the version it applies to ships. Using the app after that means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
